Portrait of a young woman Sale

Isaack Luttichuys (1656)

Portrait of a young woman. Knee piece, standing, in the left hand an ostrich feather. Until 1930, this painting remained in the possession of the De Wildt family. That is most likely the reason why the original list has been preserved. The decoration of the frame consists of lobework. Flowers, roses and tulips meander right through these quivering organic shapes, culminating in a sunflower at the bottom.
