Cultural Institution · MuseumThe Thomas Cole National Historic Site commissioned ARTEQUE to produce full-scale reproductions of nine of Thomas Cole's most significant masterworks for the new Cole Center visitor facility. The works were reproduced at their original dimensions and hung salon-style on walls exceeding twenty feet.
The project was led by Stephen Shadley — designer and trustee of the Thomas Cole National Historic Site.

"An interesting aspect of our new Cole Center at the Thomas Cole National Historic Site is that we have these lofty interior walls. The ceilings are over 20' high allowing us to showcase Cole's 'Course of Empire' and 'The Voyage of Life'; a total of nine masterworks by the artist. Hung high on those walls, salon style, I feel they convey to our visitors the very essence of Thomas Cole. Gert Meijer through his new business in Catskill, ARTEQUE, provided the stunning, full scale reproductions of Cole's massive paintings!"
