Bouquet of Flowers
Sale
Anonymous (1680)
This beautifully executed ensemble resembles a freshly picked field bouquet, but combines flowers that occur in the wild, such as the violet and the cornflower, with cultivated exotics, such as the red plume at the top right (Celosia). They don't bloom all at the same time either. Where the blue-white climbing bindweed blooms in spring, the dark purple meadow crown only blooms from August onwards.
